Summit View Hospice has proven its dedication to standards of excellence, becoming Northern Nevada’s first hospice provider to obtain national accreditation through Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP). The accreditation process signifies that Summit View Hospice and their staff meet or exceed the highest standards in both hospice care and administrative responsibilities.
Established and operated in 2012 by a local family with over 30 years of hospice and home health experience, Summit View Hospice’s mission is to provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to patients with an advanced illness.
Home-based palliative care is the foundation of Summit View’s program which involves the support of a physician, registered nurses, social service counselors, certified nursing assistants and volunteers, all following a prescribed plan of care. Home-based care offers patients the ability to spend their days in their home, as alert and pain-free as possible, surrounded by their loved ones.
